Sync error after completing a task

THis morning started having sync errors.

It's a strange scenario so hang with me.
Checked off a task from the TOday screen
An attempt to sync gets beyond the Calendar phase but glitches on the Task portion
Error message on sync states "Connection Lost. CHeck your connection and try again
In effect, calendar changes are synced but task ones (and further beyond I assume) are not.

I routinely make a backup of the db file every night and have gone back and swapped this in. Sync works fine before making a change but bombs out after checking off a task.

I'm using EPIM version 11.7 but this is a custom one supplied to me on 9/15 that fixed a toolbar issue

Was working perfectly as of yesterday (9/19). Last task sync worked correctly on Monday (9/18)

Please forward the WinEPIM sync log file to us, as well. You can find it by going to Tools->Options, selecting "Logs Folder", and looking for the file that begins with "AndroidSync". Thank you!

Yes, I think there is definitely an issue with Android sync and tasks. I recently had a problem with sync that I resolved by deleting, then recreating, all my tasks (see https://www.essentialpim.com/forum/view ... hp?t=38232 ).

I thought my problems were solved but this occurred yesterday:
  • I made some changes to my DB in the morning and was able to sync without a problem.
  • In the afternoon, I reopened WinEPIM and marked one of my tasks as complete. This is a recurring task set to repeat only once every year. This was the only change I made to the DB.
  • I then tried to sync to my phone again but got the "Connection Lost. Check your connection and try again" error.
  • I made several attempts at syncing, including after rebooting both my phone and my PC, but nothing worked.
  • I then deleted the future occurrence of the task I had just marked as complete, then recreated it for next year. I attempted to sync again but this was still unsuccessful.
  • I then closed and relaunched WinEPIM and tried to sync again. Success!
I've sync'ed a few times since then and so far so good.
But it seems as though tasks are the culprit (I only sync the calendar and tasks).

This is either the same or at least related to my issue posted earlier today. I can sync only if tasks are not synced.

FYI, 11.7.2 appears to have fixed this issue on my phone.

Interesting. I'm still on 11.7.1 on windows, but using a beta for android that fixed it for me.
