What's new:
Users have lobbied for a Linux version of EssentialPIM almost from its debut. In the absence of one, many have improvised with various levels of success. We asked Axel, one of these Linux users, to share his experience. This is his story.
For some time now I have tried to write this guest post about running EssentialPIM for Windows (WinEPIM) under Linux.
I have used EssentialPIM for Windows since 2005, but EPIM Android (AEPIM) for only the past four months. There are reasons for this.
Foremost, I shunned Android apps because I prefer traditional technology.
When word processing appeared, I relinquished my typewriter reluctantly.
You will probably never see me in a self-driving car.
A phone that just makes calls is fine with me.
We would like to announce the immediate availability of EssentialPIM 9.5. Check out the detailed list on the Version History page.
EssentialPM 9.5 is being distributed automatically and in stages, you can wait till you get notification from EPIM that the new version is available or you can always download and install it manually form the Get EPIM page.

Typewriters were not our tool of choice when I began my career as a newspaper reporter. They were our only choice. (No, I'm not that old).
Then came word processing with its bonanza of copy and paste, moving content and the luxury of making text bold or italic or underlined.
Suddenly, writers thought not only about their words, but also about how they looked.
We would like to announce the immediate availability of EssentialPIM 9.4. The new version is now able to offer preview of PDF attachments in Notes, option to change day-order for the Week Agenda view in Calendar, increased quick search speed for notes and emails, improved synchronization with Google, iOS and EPIM Cloud and many other improvements, tweaks and fixes. You can always check out the detailed list of changes on the Version History page.
EPIM will notify you about availability of the new version within couple of days as the update is rolling out in stages. If you do not wish to wait, the new version downloads are also available from the Get EPIM page.
Update to EssentialPIM Pro 9.4 is free for the lifetime license holders and if you purchased a regular license with 1 year of free updates after September 30-th, 2019. Renewal and update options are available on the Pricing page.

Back in 1969, the computer on board the lunar module "Eagle" displayed error number "1202," meaning its 4 KB of memory had run out during the landing. Nonetheless, Neil Armstrong landed the craft and reported "The Eagle has landed" to Houston.
Nowadays I hold a tablet that has 4 GB of memory, roughly 4.000.000 times as much as "Eagle," and all this with touchscreen, mouse and keyboard at my fingertips. Nearly everything I used to do on a desktop I can do on a mobile as well.
And that's why EssentialPIM has not only a Windows version (WinEPIM) for desktops, but also an Android version (AEPIM) for mobile devices. Many of us use mobile devices instead of desktops and here are three ways that EPIM supports us.
Back then, managing schedules was a long and arduous process for businesses. Imagine, secretaries had to jot down appointments on calendars, and if there were any changes, they needed to rewrite the details all over again as they put the engagement on another date. Contacts were stored on address books, and to search for one would require you to sift through page after page until you found the information you were looking for. Calendars were a big mess on a corkboard, and sticky notes piled over one another as more details were added for a meeting. Sensitive data was exposed to prying eyes, since they were written down on notepads or post-its on desks.
